What are Tooth ROKs™?

Tooth ROKs are tooth gems – genuine Swarovski crystals, opals, and 18K Gold charms, professionally adhered to your teeth! We only use professional grade materials, the same products that dentists use to adhere orthodontic braces. All of our gems and charms are genuine Swarovski, and 18K solid Gold (not plated), and are of the highest quality. Gems and charms can create subtle, or extremely expressive statements, giving your mouth a little, or a lot of, shimmery, sparkly bling.  Stay conservative with one or two gems, or go nuts and cover as many teeth as you like!

How long do they last?

Gems and charms can last anywhere between two months and two years!  The usual amount of time is around one year.  This depends upon the acidity levels in your mouth (more acidic = shorter longevity), what you eat, and how well you look after your gems. Gold charms can fall off earlier than this however, as they are larger, and are easier to dislodge with eating and brushing.

Are they safe?

Absolutely!  All of our products and equipment are of the highest quality. None of our products contain Lead, Nickel or Cadmium. If you accidentally swallow your gem or charm, it will simply pass naturally with no side effects.  Tooth gems and charms will not damage your teeth in any way.  It is completely safe and reversible.

How are they removed?

Gems will fall off when they are ready – anywhere between two months and two years later.  However, if you wish to remove your tooth gem, please see your Dentist.  Gem/charm removal should ONLY be done by a Dentist.  The removal process is completed with instruments to dislodge the gem.  The surface of the tooth will be buffed to remove any excess adhesive, and restore the enamel to its smooth, polish like finish.  The process is quick and pain free.

Do not attempt to remove your tooth gem yourself by picking it off or any other way!  You WILL damage your tooth.

As tooth gems are foreign objects to our body, there is a chance that the tooth may reject the gem.

Complimentary tooth gem and opal replacements are available if the tooth gem comes away within the first 30 days, providing ALL aftercare steps were taken. If a Gold charm comes away within the first 30 days, a new one will need to be ordered for you, and will be replaced at a discounted price.  Gold charms have an increased risk of early dislodgment due to their size and weight.

Who can have a tooth gem?

Everyone! Well, almost. Tooth gems and charms cannot be adhered to porcelain or composite veneers, caps, crowns or bridges – natural teeth only. But anyone with natural teeth can have a tooth gem or charm!  Even kids (with parent’s consent).  You’re never too old, or too young to have a tooth gem.  Any gender, anyone and everyone can have tooth gems!  Wear a retainer?  No problem – a tooth gem can be adhered directly on to your retainer!  Come with a group of friends and make a party out of it!

How should I prepare for a gem?

It’s recommended that you have a professional dental check-up and clean at your Dentist before having a tooth gem.  Within the last six months is optimal.  Make sure to brush and floss your teeth just before arriving to your appointment.  We want your teeth to be nice and clean to reduce the risk of getting a cavity under your gem.  Make sure you eat something before your appointment as you will not be able to eat anything for two hours afterwards.
